The color is a solid and highly visible yellow that almost glows in low light conditions. The intended use for this material is to be put directly onto the fly reel as the main line for casting your flies. It can also be used as an indicator which you can customize to be multicolored with a marker pen or leader wax. EURO HI-VIZ is delivered on our custom design spools manufactured from an unbreakable material in highly visible orange color.

Euro nymphing is a game where all the small details combined make a big difference. The optimum nylon for euro-nymphing must have an array of features to function perfectly. The material should be tangle- and memory free with a balanced stretch. These are important features needed to detect the most subtle takes, to maintain good contact with the nymph and to set the hook fast. When you see the take through movement in the line it’s almost too late, so direct contact is crucial.
Ideal density and grade of suppleness is vital to make the line nice to handle during fishing and to prevent it from sticking to the rod blank when it’s wet. Our Power Strike PRO EURO HI-VIZ mono ticks all these boxes and has great abrasion resistance as well, which is another key feature.

When nymphing there is a lot of casting and this wears on the line, this material has a special coating treatment and an ideal density to make it last longer. This coating also reduces friction in the guides and will let you perform longer casts. The line has a solid opaque yellow color. This is important for visibility as there should be no transparency in a perfect monofilament for euro-nymphing. This line is very easy to spot also in low-light conditions.

HOW TO USE IT – MONOLINE SETUP

Today, more and more anglers outside the competition scene prefer not to use any form of fly line. The reason for this is less line-sag and better sensitivity and contact with the flies. With this setup the monofilament line is connected directly to the backing with a Clinch knot tied to a small Perfection loop on the backing. To the monofilament line you then add a level, thinner tippet material to attach your flies to, or you may want to add another sighter material with dual- or tri- colors plus the tippet where you tie the flies.

If you have a regular fly line on your reel and want a fast change to nymphing, just cut off the length of mono needed for the fishing/length you want to cast, make a loop and connect with your fly line. You can also attach the mono line directly to the front of your tapered leader as the mono is the part you will fish with and cast. Then build the rest of the rig as mentioned above.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0659/9567/files/image_c9063f9a-cdd5-4f54-9c66-e7b2c8767805.jpg?v=1776800926
