The UK annual Tackle and Guns Trade show took place last weekend and what a weekend was had. Some great new products on offer for 2013 and was great to meet up with some friends for a few lemonades!
Every year the tackle industry keeps coming up with some amazing new products, and this year for me some of the real stars for next year are 2 new rod ranges from Hardy and Greys. I have been a big fan of the Zenith Sintrix range of rods from Hardy and for 2014 there is a new kid on the block. The Jet series which incorporates sintrix material in the blank (to a lesser extent) will be available in our shop at the end of November. This is an impressive rod, beautifully finished and handles really well - at an amazing price. the 9ft # 5 will come in at around €449 and the double handers at around €749.

Greys are also bringing out several new rods ranges the GR10, the GR30 and GR50, but all of them the GR50 is the pick of the bunch. The 9ft #5 will come in around €169 and the salmon models around €319. Beautifully finished, lightweight and really nice actions, these rods will be huge sellers. They replace the popular GRXi+ rods and are a lot of rod for your money. We will have these in at the end of October and you can see them first at the

Also of interest were the new Ultralite SDS reels and the Ultralite Black reels. Will have many of these in stock in the next few weeks.

Fulling mill have looked closed at the salmon fly hook market and after a lot of research have launched the Magni salmon hook range. Double available in silver, gold and black nickel. These are a very strong durable hook. Priced at €10 for 12 hooks they are sure to be a big hit!
