David Wilson and John Henderson - Sales Director of Hardy/Greys (Pure Fishing UK) popped in for some fishing this week. Rivers were low and conditions were tough which is usually really difficult when guiding. John is an excellent angler and caster so had no issue in coping with spooky trout using line fine leaders and small flies.
John managed to land several really nice fish on the Hardy Zephrus 8ft6 # 4 line. Many of you will know that this is my favourite rod - it offers exceptional casting prowess as well as feel and copes well with light tippet.
In the morning we tried for salmon, but the bright conditions were really against us, so no salmon landed.
