Clonanav Fly Fishing in conjunction with Fortwilliam Estate on the Blackwater, Co Waterford will be holding a spey casting course on the 6 October 2013. The course is a unique opportunity to learn the art of salmon fly fishing on some prime beats of the river Blackwater.
Fortwilliam has some of the best beats on the lower Blackwater and is an ideal venue to learn to fly fish. Participants will have use of the entire castle beat for the day with a great chance of hooking a salmon.
Your instructor Andrew Ryan is a THCI qualified instructor and an experienced salmon angler and guide. During the 1 day course you will learn both single and double spey, switch cast, Snake roll, snap t, circle c etc. Also covered will be modern salmon fishing equipment, spey lines, how to use shooting heads and lots more!

The course will take place on Sunday 6 October from 10 am to 5 pm. It includes fishing on the beats, equipment, BBQ lunch and instruction. Numbers are limited so early booking is advisable. The course costs €159 per person.
