With still no rain the water has become lower and lower. The fish are mainly in the deeper shaded pools but with the correct techniques we are still getting fish.
The water is incredibly low, but by using long leaders and fine tippet we are still managing to catch some very nice fish. The nice thing about such low water is that we can see all the fish in the pools, thus sneak up on them and stalk them.
Today I was guiding Rory, Fergus and Martin. Rory is a regular client and brought his 2 friends along today. They were amazing at the techniques being used including small size 18/20 dries with tiny nymphs fished behind them.
