The Hardy Averon Cassette Reel builds on the legacy of previous Hardy cassette reels with a completely redesigned frame, while retaining the trusted CLS locking system and compatibility with existing spools. The new frame enhances durability and utilizes a practical open-cage design for the 4000–7000 sizes and an enclosed cage for the 9000 size. A robust disc drag system delivers ultra-smooth stopping power, scaled to the reel size, and features a regulator knob that provides precise adjustments with positive detents.
Designed with full compatibility in mind, the Averon Cassette features spools that are interchangeable with the previous generation (Ultradisc Cassette / UDC). This ensures seamless versatility, allowing anglers to use UDC spools with the Averon Cassette and vice versa, making it the ideal choice for anglers carrying multiple lines. Please note these spools do not fit the ASR Reels.
