Created on more than four decades of experience in high performance rod design, the Ström series combines the revolutionary heptagonal (7-sided) cross section first seen in the iconic 7X, with the most advanced carbon matrix we've ever put into a fly rod.
Featuring a premium flor cork handle, weight-optimised performance reel seat, custom REC Cerecoil stripping and snake guides, and high grade M40X carbon fibre - Ström delivers a lighter, stronger, more responsive rod, with exceptional recovery and tracking.
Compact, adaptable and powerful, the Ström switch gives you the freedom to change casting style and cover water without changing rods. Like the double-handed models, the switch features a beautifully machined, embossed reel seat utilising speed threads and locking nuts for added power and durability.
The 7116 can be summed up in one word – versatility. Perfect for multi applications in freshwater and coastal fisheries, this rod excels in small to mid-sized rivers presenting streamers and salmon flies with consistent accuracy at distance.
